Training FAQs

CSI’s accredited CompEx and bespoke training is designed to prepare delegates for real-world hazardous area challenges. Whether you’re new to explosive atmospheres or refreshing existing qualifications, our courses combine technical accuracy with hands-on learning. Here are answers to the most common questions we’re asked by delegates before they train with us.

Do I need previous experience to take a CompEx course?

Some courses require prior electrical or instrumentation knowledge, while refresher modules (RPP) are designed for those renewing qualifications. We can advise on the right course for your background.

Where are the courses held?

Courses are delivered at our dedicated CSI training centre or, where applicable, on client premises worldwide.

What qualification will I receive?

On successful completion, delegates gain a CompEx certificate, an internationally recognised qualification for working in potentially explosive atmospheres.
