Cenelec Standards Inspections Limited -
Training Department

We can deliver training to enable your duty-holders to make the right decisions for
explosion protected installations from design to maintenance.

Electrical installations in potentially explosive hazardous areas should be installed, maintained
and operated by competent persons. To ensure competence, it is recommended that further
knowledge and experience be gained, to supplement the knowledge gained from each course.

Safe working practices will be ensured in the future through competence of skilled staff, with
sufficient knowledge, practical skill, experience and ability to avoid danger.

Training for employees is an important requirement of Legislation affecting safety of installations
in hazardous areas. Standard Courses are offered at our Training Facility at Blyth and at
your premises too.

Standard Courses include the following:

The purpose of each course is to provide participants
with an awareness of the requirements for safety, in
their workplaces. The courses are designed as introductions
to concepts and practices relating to safety.

Courses are supported by deliverables, including handbooks,
copies of appropriate presentation slides and a copy
of the relevant standard where appropriate. Written
assessments are a feature of every course, with the
result declared on the participant's Certificate of
Attendance.

Participants' feedback is also a feature of each course
and the feedback is used in the process of continuous
improvement.

Courses can be customised. Where courses are run on
your premises, then you are actively encouraged to influence
the scope and specification, to ensure that the course
exactly meets your needs.

If your needs are not met by a standard course, then
our Training Department staff will be pleased to listen
to you and to develop the course that delivers your
requirements.
